Red Dwarf Q&A with Hattie Hayridge +
Edinburgh Preview Stand-up Set
Norman Lovett may be best remembered as Holly the computer from Red Dwarf but he has made a name for himself as an incredibly talented stand-up comedian. Now he is about to play some dates around the UK after a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe with his back to basics stand-up show Entertaining Moaner.
He played the original Comedy Store many times and even supported the Clash, one of the personal highlights of his career. Television & Radio followed which included his own sitcom I, Lovett on BBC2 in which he played an eccentric inventor. He also appeared in Keeping Up Appearances, The Young Ones, The Bill, Rab C Nesbitt plus many other programmes.
‘The man is a natural born comic…his delivery is so deadpan, he makes Jack Dee seem like Ken Dodd…few could ever match his subtle skill.’ EDINBURGH EVENING NEWS
‘Norman Lovett’s show is like being in the pub with someone you know really well. He’s witty, good company and he makes you laugh.’ THE LIST
